The BMW logo was inspired by the aeroplane engine manufacturing the company was founded on. It was stated that a pilot's view through the propeller was of an alternating white and blue hence the famous white and blue symbol of BMW stems that make up the emblem. To enhance its look in modern day, the BMW logo has become stylized throughout the years. It now entails solid quarters of blue and white to remain solid.
